  15. I have a USR Sportster V.34+ fax/modem. When I dialed up my ISP and 
  16. if the line was busy, at 80% of the times the modem re-dialed after the 
  17. second busy tone. However, it happened at some re-dial attempts that the 
  18. modem could not recorgnize the busy tone and the busy tone continued 
  19. until it was timeout at around 30 seconds. Then the carrier dropped and 
  20. the modem re-dialed again. Thus the re-dial interval became very long.
